Apply for, renew or replace a NEXUS card: Renew or replace

Renewing your membership

Your NEXUS membership is valid for 5 years. Check the expiry date on your NEXUS card. If you renew your membership before the expiry date, you can retain your NEXUS privileges.

If there is no expiry date on your NEXUS card, please contact us.

You may renew your membership online and pay the processing fee through the Trusted Traveller Programs (TTP) System operated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). You will need your Login.gov account information to log in.

The non-refundable processing fee for renewing your membership is $50 (USD). There is no fee for members under the age of 18.

With the streamlined renewal process, you may not need to do an interview at an enrolment centre. Generally, you do not need an interview if there are no changes to your personal information or new information that may affect your eligibility.

Replacing your membership

You can request a replacement for your lost, stolen or damaged NEXUS card through your TTP System account. There is a $25 (USD) non-refundable processing fee to issue a replacement card. You may have to do an interview at an enrolment centre to replace your card.
